Travel Physical Therapist

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Days, Monday to Friday, from 08:00 AM to 04:30 PM. Flexibility for weekend coverage may be required.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Travel Physical Therapist to provide patient care in Eastern New Mexico. This role involves working in both acute and ambulatory rehab settings, delivering evaluation, treatment plans, and therapy interventions to patients across various age groups, from pediatrics to geriatrics.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Implement therapy interventions to enhance mobility, reduce pain, and restore function.
• Provide education to patients on managing their conditions and preventing further disability.
• Document patient care activities in the Meditech documentation system.
• Work independently as the sole PT provider in the inpatient setting.
• Adhere to CMS skilled criteria and medical necessity guidelines.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• A minimum of 1 year of experience as a Physical Therapist, excluding clinical rotations.
• Current New Mexico Physical Therapist license (may be pending at time of application, but must be obtained before start date).
• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred.
• Experience in acute and orthopedic rehabilitation settings.
• Ability to work independently and manage diverse patient needs.
