Occupational Therapist - Acute Rehabilitation

Job Description

The Occupational Therapist facilitates the development and rehabilitation of physically disabled persons, maximizing the functional status of hospitalized patients. This position involves evaluating, planning, implementing, and modifying age-appropriate treatment programs, participating in discharge planning, performing administrative duties, and pursuing professional growth. Additional duties as assigned may also be included.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Implement and modify therapy interventions to improve functional status.
• Participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care.
• Perform administrative duties related to patient care and documentation.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and participate in performance improvement initiatives.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have a valid Occupational Therapist license in the state of practice.
• Must possess BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
• Minimum of 2 years recent OT hospital experience, preferably with acute rehabilitation experience.

Schedule

This position offers 4 ten-hour shifts from Wednesday to Saturday.
