Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Nurse to join our CVOR team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a strong ability to work collaboratively within a team. Responsibilities include assisting with open heart procedures and related processes while ensuring optimal patient care and safety.

Responsibilities

• Assist in scrub or circulate procedures.
• Ensure room set up and turn over for surgical procedures.
• Obtain disposables and instrument sets as needed.
• Maintain sterile techniques throughout the surgical process.
• Set up and operate specialized equipment such as Belmont and cell saver.
• Coordinate with the surgical team to enhance patient experiences and outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN license in Virginia.
• BLS certification required; CNOR preferred.
• Experience with open heart surgeries including CABG, MVR, TVR, AVR, vascular procedures.
• Proven ability to work as part of a team with a focus on patient-centered care.
