Job Description

Under the supervision of the CT Supervisor, the CT Scan Technologist produces diagnostic CT scans, assists the radiologist in diagnostic procedures, and ensures patient care while representing the vision and mission of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures of the human body according to departmental policy and procedure guidelines.
• Ensure patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and exam evaluation for various patient age groups.
• Coordinate daily workflow and assist in the throughput of ER, in-patients, and outpatients.
• Maintain current CPR certification and participate in mandatory in-services.
• Make technical decisions to provide optimal CT scans and administer IV contrast materials under the radiologist's direction.
• Utilize in-house CT scanning and contrast injecting equipment effectively.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of two years clinical experience in the imaging department.
• Experience in trauma is required.
• Travel experience is necessary.
• Licensure: American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT) - Radiography and CT, and a State of Nevada license for Medical Radiography.
• Certifications: AHA BLS (to be obtained within 60 days upon hire).
