Job Description

The Registered Nurse in Telemetry provides optimal patient care through the nursing process. This role is accountable for individualized patient outcomes and offers comprehensive nursing services to adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients, including their families/caregivers.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients with telemetry needs.
• Coordinate care with other healthcare professionals.
• Monitor ECG rhythms of telemetry patients 24/7.
• Provide patient education and support to families/caregivers.
• Participate in unit-based activities, such as quality improvement initiatives.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of Telemetry experience required.
• NV RN license required prior to start.
• Current certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), NIHSS (APEX).
• Must pass a telemetry competency exam, including identifying and measuring rhythm strips.
