Travel Emergency Room Registered Nurse

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM, with weekends required.

Job Description

The Travel Emergency Room Registered Nurse will be responsible for delivering high-quality care to patients in the emergency department. The role requires quick assessment and triage of patients presenting with various medical conditions ranging from ESI level 1 to 5, ensuring a collaborative workflow within the team.

Responsibilities

• Manage care for patients with stroke, STEMI, trauma, and sepsis.
• Perform triage and rapid assessment of patients.
• Provide clinical skills such as PIV, NG/OG tube insertion, foley catheter placement, wound care, splinting, and more.
• Assist with procedures, including art line, central line, and chest tube placement.
• Ensure proper documentation of EMTALA paperwork.
• Float to other departments as needed based on staffing requirements.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department RN experience is required.
• At least 1 year of travel nurse experience required.
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications are mandatory.
• Experience as a preceptor or charge nurse is preferred but not required.
