Critical Care Registered Nurse

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Critical Care Registered Nurse to provide care in high-acuity settings for patients who have suffered severe medical conditions such as heart attacks, strokes, and respiratory distress. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional nursing capabilities, work collaboratively with a critical care team, and act as a patient advocate.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' conditions and develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
• Administer advanced life support and treat wounds.
• Assist physicians with procedures.
• Monitor and record vital signs.
• Ensure proper functioning of medical equipment, including ventilators.
• Administer intravenous fluids and medications.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families.
• Respond promptly to life-saving situations according to nursing standards and protocols.
• Collaborate with other members of the critical care team.
• Care for pre- and post-operative patients as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must possess a valid Wyoming RN license or multi-state RN license.
• Must have at least 2 years of recent ICU RN experience in a hospital setting.
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS/ENPC certifications are required (TNCC preferred).
• Experience with pediatrics on occasion is expected.

Schedule

This is a 13-week contract position with shifts from 07:00 to 19:00.
