Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Neonatal ICU is responsible for providing optimal patient care while utilizing knowledge and skills within the nursing process. This role is accountable for individualized patient outcomes throughout the entire episode of care. The RN will provide comprehensive nursing services to neonatal patients and their families, coordinating care between other professionals as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care for neonatal patients.
• Demonstrate knowledge of population-specific needs in patient care.
• Engage with families or caregivers in assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation efforts.
• Provide intensive and safe patient care, ensuring quality standards are met.
• Float to various areas as needed based on competency levels.
• Participate in shift coverage as required, including weekends and holidays.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum 3 years of exclusive NICU experience in a Level 3 NICU or higher.
• Ventilator trained.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a State of Nevada Registered Nurse license prior to hire.
• Current certifications in BLS and NRP.
