ER Admit Registered Nurse - NOC Shift

Assignment Duration

This is a 12-week contract position.

Schedule

This position requires 3 × 11.5 hour shifts per week, working a NOC schedule with hours from 7 PM to 7:30 AM, including a 60-minute unpaid lunch break. Weekend and holiday requirements include every other weekend and holiday coverage as needed based on unit need.

Job Description

The ER Admit Registered Nurse collaborates with the medical team to provide quality care for admitted medicine patients while floating through different medicine and surgical units. The nurse will maintain a patient ratio of 1:5 and will not have tele patients assigned.

Responsibilities

• Admit and oversee care for ER patients transitioning to inpatient units.
• Coordinate with healthcare providers to ensure a smooth admission process.
• Monitor and assess patients’ conditions, responding to changes as necessary.
• Provide patient education and support to patients and families.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN license in the applicable state.
• Previous experience in emergency or critical care preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification may be preferred.
