Occupational Therapist - Acute Care & Nursing Home

Schedule

Monday-Friday, 7:30am-4pm, no weekends, holiday rotation

Job Description

The Occupational Therapist position treats injured, ill, or disabled patients through the therapeutic use of everyday activities and helps these patients develop, recover, improve, as well as maintain the skills needed for daily living and working.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients in acute care and nursing home settings.
• Screen patients and attend meetings regarding patient progress.
• Document evaluations, progress notes, daily notes, insurance, and discharge notes in patient medical records.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure effective carryover of services for patient care.
• Perform outpatient evaluations and treatments.
• Execute other duties as requested.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Master of Occupational Therapy required; Doctorate preferred.
• National Board Certification in Occupational Therapy and Wisconsin occupational therapy license, with continuing education to maintain licensure.
• Must maintain a valid, current driver's license.
• BLS certification required.
• 1+ years of related work experience required.
• Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail required.
