Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical Unit

Schedule

Nights (1900-0730) with rotating weekends.

Job Description

The Medical Surgical unit specializes in the care of acutely ill adults and those who require both emergent and elective surgery. Registered nurses and nurse assistants provide the highest standards of professional care to Medical Surgical patients. Specialty certification in Medical Surgical Nursing is strongly encouraged and supported.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to acutely ill adult patients.
• Administer medications and treatments as per physician orders.
• Monitor and assess patient condition and respond effectively to changes in status.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement care plans.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current unencumbered Oregon RN license required upon submission.
• Healthcare Provider Level BLS required.
• AHA ACLS and NIHSS certifications required for NLH Med Surg.
