Clinical Staff Educator - Day Shift

Job Description

The Clinical Staff Educator provides education and instruction for clinical staff, acting as a resource in healthcare education and training programs. This role involves introducing technical and theoretical concepts, supporting the development of education with department managers, and collaborating with the Quality Management team to promote continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Deliver educational programs and assess participant learning to ensure effectiveness.
• Work collaboratively with clinical nurse coordinators to identify educational needs.
• Utilize simulation training tools to enhance learning experiences.
• Evaluate programs and adjust as necessary to improve staff proficiency.
• Communicate effectively to foster teamwork and cooperation.
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold patient rights in all educational settings.
• Mentor and support new staff and peer educators as required.
• Participate in Quality Management activities and initiatives as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Bachelor's degree in nursing required; Master's degree preferred.
• Current Oregon RN license is mandatory.
• Certification in Healthcare Provider CPR, CNOR, ACLS, and PALS is required.
• Minimum of 5 years nursing experience in a hospital setting with 3 years in the operating room.
• Experience teaching and developing educational courses is preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and possess strong communication skills.
