Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical Unit

Nights (1900-0730) rotating weekends.

Job Description

The Medical Surgical unit specializes in the care of acutely ill adults and those who require both emergent and elective surgery. Our Medical Surgical patients receive the highest standards of professional care from registered nurses and nurse assistants. Specialty certification in Medical Surgical Nursing is strongly encouraged and supported.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to acutely ill adults.
• Administer medication and monitor patient status.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Educate patients and their families on health management and post-operative care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current unencumbered Oregon RN license required upon submission.
• Healthcare Provider Level AHA BLS required.
• ACLS and NIHSS certification required.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
