Radiologic Technologist - Modified Barium Swallow Studies

This position generally follows a set schedule of 5 days per week, which may include 1 weekend day.

Job Description

The Radiologic Technologist will be responsible for independently completing Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBS) in a radiology setting. The role requires acute care experience and proficiency in executing procedures without supervision from a radiologist. The candidate should be familiar with working in rehabilitation environments, specifically in Acute MBS and skilled nursing facility (SNF) settings.

Responsibilities

• Perform and complete Modified Barium Swallow Studies independently.
• Utilize Meditech computerized documentation for inpatient processes and maintain accurate records for outpatient documentation.
• Provide potential referrals for outpatient care when required.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams within acute and rehabilitation settings.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Radiology role, preferably within a skilled nursing facility or rehabilitation hospital.
• Active Hawaii license required by the start of the assignment.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Proven ability to conduct MBS studies independently.

Training and Orientation

Training in EMR documentation will be provided, along with orientation to the rehabilitation area and specific expectations of the role. Candidates must be available to arrive the Thursday before the start date to complete an employee health appointment on Friday.
