Registered Nurse - Acute Care Leadership

Schedule

20 - 22 hours, varying shifts, every 3rd weekend and holiday. Work week is Monday through Sunday.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) with leadership experience in acute care settings. This role involves responding to critical events, providing clinical consultation, and ensuring the highest level of patient care through effective staffing management.

Responsibilities

• Respond immediately to critical events and provide leadership during situations such as code blue, code red, and code 100.
• Adjust staffing levels as necessary to meet patient care requirements.
• Evaluate staffing needs continuously and recommend adjustments.
• Serve as a clinical and administrative resource for nursing staff, offering advice and education.
• Complete employee performance evaluations within designated timelines.
• Assist with conflict resolution among staff and patients.
• Advocate for patients, families, and staff, ensuring the support of patient rights.
• Maintain operations of other departments during non-operating hours.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Associate's degree in Nursing required.
• Current RN registration in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
• AHA ACLS certification.
• Previous experience in management or leadership role.
• Three - four years acute care experience preferred.
• Strong leadership attributes and decision-making skills.
