Registered Nurse - Hospice Care

Nights (1900-0730), rotating weekends

Job Description

The Hospice teams provide compassionate care and support to patients and their families during the final stages of illness. The team focuses on symptom management, respite care, and support services to ensure comfort and dignity.

Responsibilities

• Deliver skilled nursing care to hospice patients
• Manage pain and symptoms effectively
• Provide emotional and spiritual support to patients and families
• Assist with medical social services and counseling as needed
• Supervise hospice aides and coordinate care provided by volunteers
• Ensure comprehensive bereavement support
• Administer medication and manage equipment as appropriate

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current unencumbered Oregon RN Licensure required upon submission
• Healthcare Provider Level BLS certification required
• BSN and/or previous Hospice or case management experience preferred
• Broad-based nursing experience preferred to ensure necessary skills for hospice care
