Registered Nurse - Wound Care

Days (0730 - 1700) with no weekends.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in Wound Care provides treatment based on an established plan of care for patients with wounds, fistulas, percutaneous tubes, ostomies, incontinence, and actual or potential skin breakdown. This role serves as a resource and consultant to patients and nursing staff, performing assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care provided. Collaboration with the Wound, Ostomy, Continence Nurse (WOCN) is essential for implementing changes in the plan of care.

Responsibilities

• Provide wound care treatment according to established protocols.
• Assess and evaluate patients' conditions to adjust care plans as needed.
• Consult with nursing staff and provide guidance on wound care management.
• Collaborate with WOCN for optimal patient care and treatment adjustments.
• Document patient progress and treatment outcomes accurately.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current unencumbered Oregon RN licensure required.
• Healthcare Provider Level BLS certification is required.
• BSN preferred.
• Certification in Wound Care is preferred.
• 6 months of wound care experience required, with a preference for outpatient wound care clinic experience.
