Respiratory Therapist - Night Shift

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Respiratory Therapist for a 13-week contract position on the night shift. In this role, you will evaluate patient outcomes and adjust care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team. The successful candidate will provide clear instructions and explanations to patients regarding respiratory disease processes and interventions.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patient outcomes and modify care plans as necessary.
• Explain respiratory disease processes and intervention procedures to patients and responsible persons, ensuring understanding.
• Accept reassignment to other units when required.
• Share clinical knowledge with staff and students, acting as a role model in clinical practice.
• Plan, implement, and evaluate the effectiveness of respiratory care.
• Provide respiratory care as per physician orders while communicating with medical and nursing staff.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Associate's degree required.
• RRT certification.
• Illinois Respiratory Care License.
• BLS and NRP-MHC certifications required.

Schedule

This position requires availability for night shifts.
