Registered Nurse - Night Shift

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Full-time nights: 3 (12 hour) shifts per week (6p-6:30a), every other weekend, rotating holidays.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will plan and provide total patient care through the nursing process which includes assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient needs. The nurse will direct and guide patient teaching and the activities of ancillary personnel while adhering to the standards of professional nursing.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Monitor and evaluate patient responses to interventions.
• Provide patient teaching and guidance to enhance understanding of health conditions and care interventions.
• Oversee and mentor ancillary personnel in the delivery of patient care.
• Maintain professional nursing standards and practices.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Iowa RN license.
• BCLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required.
• Experience preferred, but not required.
