Supervisor/Charge Nurse - Med Surg and ER

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

12-hour night shifts (7p-7a) for a total of 36 hours a week. Looking for someone who will work Saturday, Sunday, and Monday.

Job Description

The Supervisor/Charge Nurse will provide leadership and oversee the operations in both the Medical Surgical and Emergency Room departments. This role requires a hands-on approach to nursing and supervision, ensuring high-quality patient care is delivered effectively and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Supervise nursing staff in Med Surg and ER, ensuring adherence to protocols and standards.
• Provide direct patient care as needed, assisting in critical situations and enhancing patient outcomes.
• Coordinate daily operations, managing staff schedules and allocating resources to meet patient needs.
• Participate in staff training and development programs to ensure workforce competency.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
• Any OB/Newborn Stabilization education/training received.
