Pediatric Physical Therapist

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day shift, 5x8 hours (08:00 - 16:30), with 1-2 weekend shifts per month required.

Job Description

The Pediatric Physical Therapist will provide essential physical therapy services to pediatric patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings. This role requires specialized knowledge of pediatric care, including acute care experience and the ability to formulate treatment plans, conduct assessments, and implement appropriate therapies.

Responsibilities

• Conduct evaluations and treatment plans for pediatric patients.
• Implement and monitor effective therapy interventions.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Educate patients and their families about care plans and therapeutic activities.
• Document patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in pediatric and acute care settings.
• Current BLS certification and an active Alaska PT license (pending license accepted).
• Experience with outpatient clinic, concussion, muscular dystrophy, spinal cord injury, and traumatic brain injury required.
