Day Shift: 4x10-Hour (06:00 - 16:30) with call every 3rd weekend and 1-2 nights per week.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Cardiovascular Operating Room Nurse (CVOR RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in CVOR, be competent with various cardiovascular procedures, and hold a current BLS/ACLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist in cardiovascular surgeries, including CABG, valve replacements, and other related chest procedures.
• Manage preoperative and postoperative care for patients undergoing cardiovascular procedures.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Monitor and evaluate patient conditions throughout the surgical process.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding surgical procedures and recovery.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of CVOR nursing experience required.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Kentucky or compact RN license required at the time of submission.
• Competency in performing and assisting with 3's/4's procedures on the skills list, including ECMO, Impella insertions, open thoracotomies, and minimally invasive thoracic surgeries.
