Physical Therapist - Acute Care

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Shift: 4 x 10's (Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday) from 08:00 AM to 06:00 PM.

Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Physical Therapist for a role in a short-term acute care setting. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing therapy interventions, evaluating patients, and developing treatment plans tailored to individual needs.

Responsibilities

• Perform evaluations and assessments of patients' conditions and needs.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Administer therapy interventions, including techniques for managing patients with complex medical conditions.
• Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plan and goals.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Cerner charting system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current Physical Therapist license in the state of Arizona.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card (note: may take 4-6 weeks for processing).
• A minimum of 1 year of acute care experience.
• Strong experience with managing moderate to maximum assist patients.
• Ability to work with ventilated patients is preferred.
