This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Shift: 4x12 Variable (or 3x12 Variable - traveler's choice). Caregivers will either work Day or Night shifts based on facility needs.

Job Description

The Long Term Care Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) will provide essential patient care in a supportive environment. Responsibilities include assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs), administering basic care, monitoring patient conditions, and ensuring a safe and hygienic environment for all residents.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with ADLs like bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
• Monitor and document vital signs and changes in patient conditions.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to residents.
• Ensure safety and comfort by following proper infection control protocols.
• Report any observed changes in patient demeanor to nursing staff.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have prior travel experience.
• CNA certification in another state is required if AK CNA license is pending.
• Completion of a formal CNA training program.
• Experience in Long Term Care (LTC) settings.
• Must be able to provide documentation of the submitted Alaska CNA license application.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
