Schedule

Shift: Night 5x8-Hour (23:00 - 07:00) and Day 5x8-Hour (07:00 - 15:00)

Job Description

The Sterile Processing Technician will be responsible for sterilizing and preparing surgical instruments and equipment while ensuring the highest standards of sanitation and safety are maintained. This role requires proficiency with various sterilization techniques, including the use of robotics and SPM instrumentation.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning and sterilizing surgical instruments, including crash carts and various medical devices.
• Documenting equipment use and maintenance to ensure compliance with healthcare standards.
• Preparing surgical trays and instrument sets based on preference cards.
• Performing high-level disinfection and maintaining proper labeling for sterilized instruments.
• Collaborating with surgical teams to ensure efficient operation during procedures.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in sterile processing or a related field preferred.
• Knowledge of SPM and robotics instrumentation is advantageous.
• Certifications: CBSPD, IAHCSMM/HSPA preferred.
• Experience with Epic charting system is preferred.
