Mid 5x8-Hour shifts from 15:00 to 23:30 with weekend rotations.

Job Description

The Sterile Processing Technician I is responsible for cleaning, preparing, sterilizing, and storing instruments across the healthcare system. The technician prepares case carts for the Operating Room (OR) and primarily works in decontamination with limited tray assembly responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sterilize medical instruments and equipment.
• Prepare and package surgical instruments for use in surgeries.
• Ensure compliance with safety and sterilization guidelines.
• Maintain cleanliness and order in the sterile processing area.
• Assist in the management of inventory and instrument tracking.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 5 years of previous sterile processing experience required.
• Certification in sterile processing (CRCST or CSPDT) is required at hire and must be maintained.
• Certification in Robotics with a rating of 3 or above.
• Experience in a Level II Trauma center or similar facility.
