Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) Night Shift

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM. Must work 2 weekend shifts or 4 weekend days every 6 weeks, with holidays as needed.

Job Description

The Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) provides critical care to adult patients in the emergency setting. Responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care in accordance with established standards and hospital policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for critically ill patients in the Emergency Department.
• Perform necessary procedures and interventions to stabilize patients.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care.
• Manage and monitor patient vital signs and respond to emergencies.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Document patient care accurately in the electronic medical records system (EPIC).

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active RN license with a minimum of 2 years of experience in Emergency Department nursing.
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIH certifications are required.
• CPI, PALS, and TNCC certifications are preferred.
• Experience with EPIC charting system is mandatory.
• Previous Charge RN and Level 2 Trauma experience preferred.
