Emergency Department Registered Nurse with Pediatric Experience

This is a 13-week contract position with a shift from 6:30 AM to 7 PM. Block scheduling is not guaranteed.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to work in the Emergency Department. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in an emergency setting, with some pediatric experience. The nurse will be responsible for managing a diverse patient population, including newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics with conditions such as stroke, sepsis, trauma, myocardial infarction, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care in a fast-paced emergency department setting.
• Assess and manage patients exhibiting a variety of medical conditions.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EPIC).
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure effective patient outcomes.
• Float as needed within the department to meet patient care needs.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active RN license in New York State.
• Current certifications: AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC (TNCC must be in hand).
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Emergency Nursing, including pediatric experience.
• Travel nursing experience is required.
• Skills checklist matching specialty must be provided.
