Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day shift, 3x12-hour schedule from 07:00 to 19:30. Every third weekend required.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse for our Labor and Delivery unit. This role requires hands-on care for pregnant patients during labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery. The ideal candidate will have experience in high-risk situations and the ability to manage multiple deliveries per day in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for patients in labor and delivery.
• Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal conditions.
• Assist with vaginal and cesarean deliveries.
• Perform assessments, administer medications, and engage in postpartum care.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide optimal patient care.
• Educate patients and families on childbirth preparation and postpartum care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery.
• Valid RN license.
• Certifications in NRP, ACLS, and BLS are required.
• BSN is mandatory.
• AWHONN Intermediate or Beginner certification is required.
