Physical Therapy Assistant

Job Description

The Physical Therapy Assistant's primary function is to perform selected physical therapy procedures and related tasks under the direction and supervision of a registered Physical Therapist. The Assistant will treat patients with modalities and exercise in accordance with patient's medical needs and an approved treatment plan, while understanding their limitations as an assistant. Additionally, the assistant will assist in maintaining the department in a neat and orderly manner and will complete all documentation of daily notes and discharge data. Patients cared for may include infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.

Responsibilities

• Perform selected physical therapy procedures under supervision.
• Treat patients with modalities and exercise as per treatment plan.
• Maintain departmental cleanliness and organization.
• Document daily notes and discharge data accurately.
• Work with diverse patient demographic including all age groups.

Schedule

Full-time position with shifts from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Some weekends and holidays may be required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Recent traveler experience is preferred.
• At least 2 years of inpatient rehab and PTA experience is required.
• BLS (AHA) certification is required.
• State licensure in Oklahoma is required.
