This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day shift, 5x8 hours from 07:00 AM to 03:30 PM (or 06:30 AM to 03:00 PM), Monday to Friday. Requires 1 weekend per month and 1 weekday of call.

Job Description

The Cardiac Mechanical Support Coordinator will round on both inpatient and outpatient individuals, servicing and troubleshooting devices both in the hospital and clinic settings. This role is essential for advanced heart failure patient management and requires strong knowledge of devices such as Durable MCS (HM 3, Heartware, BrioVAD), IABP, and Impella devices.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care and support for individuals utilizing mechanical cardiac support devices.
• Troubleshoot issues with devices both in-clinic and inpatient settings.
• Act as a subject matter expert (SME) on durable mechanical circulatory support technologies.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Participate in the management of advanced heart failure patients.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Two years of work experience as a registered nurse.
• Preferred: Minimum of 1 year clinical work experience managing advanced heart failure patients.
• 1 year of CTICU and VAD Coordinator experience is a plus.
• South Carolina or Multi-State/Compact State RN License is required.
• BLS certification is required.
