Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for our Clinical Decision Unit with a focus on enhancing patient throughput and reducing overall length of stay. This unit provides care for admitted patients from the Emergency Department, performing admission assessments and initiating acute care orders. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced setting and have strong teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct admission assessments and medication reconciliation for newly admitted patients.
• Initiate acute care orders as part of the patient care process.
• Monitor patient environments to ensure safety and appropriate care protocols.
• Collaborate with other unit staff to enhance patient experiences and outcomes.
• Float to other units within skill set as required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years recent experience in MedSurg, Telemetry, and Step-Down (PCU) environments preferred.
• Must hold current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• NIHSS certification is preferred.
• Charge Nurse experience or willingness to take on charge responsibilities is appreciated.
