LTAC/Telemetry Registered Nurse

Job Description

The LTAC/Telemetry Registered Nurse holds shift accountability for providing care to patients by utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and Hospital policy and procedures. The Registered Nurse demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific judgment and leadership in the anticipation and planning for safe delivery of care; maintains clinical competencies through continuing education; delegates patient care priorities commensurate with the education and experience of the staff available; provides direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care utilizing the nursing process.
• Utilize critical thinking and scientific judgment in clinical decisions.
• Maintain clinical competencies and seek continuing education.
• Delegate patient care based on staff education and experience.
• Supervise and provide direction to assigned nursing personnel.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2 to 5 years of nursing experience required.
• Must have ACLS & BLS certifications (must be attached to the submission).
• Must have vent/trach experience.
• 2 years of recent Tele/LTAC experience in a hospital setting is required.
• Must possess an Indiana or multi-state compact RN license (must be attached to the resume).

Schedule

This position requires a full-time commitment with shifts from 07:00 to 19:00.
