Computed Tomography Technologist (CT Tech)

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Will work Friday to Sunday, 3x12 hour shifts from 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM. On-call rotation is required among staff members from Monday to Thursday between 5:00 PM and 6:00 AM.

Job Description

The Computed Tomography Technologist (CT) is responsible for performing high-quality CT examinations in accordance with established protocols for various patient populations, ranging from newborns to geriatrics. The technologist will report directly to the manager of CT and the director of radiology. This role includes handling inpatient, outpatient, ER, and scheduled interventional cases.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality CT examinations, ensuring adherence to protocols.
• Work with diverse patient populations, including conducting exams for trauma and emergencies.
• Administer contrast media and perform biopsies as needed.
• Utilize the PACS system for image management and retrieval.
• Participate in on-call duties as required, assisting in high-demand situations.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• A minimum of 1 year of experience in a CT Technologist role.
• ARRT certification in CT is required.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association is required.
• SCRQSA (CT) certification is required.
• Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Candidates must hold an active South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association (SCRQSA) registration at the time of employment.
