Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for our Cardiovascular Progressive Care Unit. This unit specializes in the care of patients undergoing cardiovascular and vascular surgeries, including open heart surgeries, thoracic surgeries, and patients recovering from complex medical conditions such as heart failure and sepsis. The ideal candidate will possess strong telemetry experience and the ability to manage a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage the care of patients at the cardiac surgery stepdown level.
• Monitor and interpret telemetry readings.
• Administer medications and manage IV therapy per protocols.
• Provide patient education and emotional support to patients and families.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN license.
• ACLS and BLS certifications are required.
• Previous experience in stepdown care and telemetry.
• Preferred experience with CV surgery and vascular surgery patients.
