MRI Technologist II - Night Shift

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated MRI Technologist II to operate magnetic resonance imaging equipment and collaborate with radiologists and fellow staff members. This role involves providing direct patient care to high acuity patients, including those in emergency, inpatient, and outpatient settings, while maintaining strict adherence to MRI safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform contrast injections under the supervision of the radiologist or designated physician.
• Assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients across various age groups, from neonates to geriatrics.
• Acquire tomographic images of specified body parts using MRI technology.
• Prepare and position patients for procedures while selecting appropriate anatomical and technical parameters.
• Ensure the prompt submission of high-quality images and documents to the PACS system.
• Conduct patient pre-screening, scheduling, and education regarding examinations.
• Maintain a clean and orderly department, including procedure rooms and other areas.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• High School Diploma/GED and a specialized diploma from an accredited Radiology program.
• Registered Technologist in Radiology (RT) and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) certification in the State of Pennsylvania upon hire.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification upon hire.
• Previous charge experience is preferred.
• Experience with charting systems, such as Epic, is required.
• Familiarity with medical insurance terminology and eligibility websites is preferred.

Schedule

This position operates on a night shift schedule, working five 8-hour shifts from 03:00 PM to 11:00 PM.
