Contract NICU Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM, with rotating weekend shifts (4 weekends per month).

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced NICU Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in adult respiratory care and demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform standard respiratory therapy procedures including nebulizers, chest physiotherapy, and arterial blood gas analysis.
• Manage ventilators and assist with critical care procedures such as intubation and bronchoscopy.
• Administer inhaled nitric oxide and transport patients on mechanical ventilation within the hospital.
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary team members to ensure optimal patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have experience in adult respiratory care in an acute care setting.
• Preferred candidates will have experience in adult critical care, ICU, or emergency department.
• Valid RRT certification and state licensure as required.
