NICU Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - 13 Week Contract

Schedule

Shift: 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM, rotating weekends (4 weekend shifts per month)

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled NICU Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with experience handling babies born at 32 weeks gestation. This position requires expertise in managing respiratory care for critically ill neonates in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform standard respiratory therapy procedures including nebulizers, chest physiotherapy, and arterial blood gases.
• Manage ventilators, including GE ventilators and V60 BiPAPs, as well as high-flow nasal cannula (HFNC).
• Assist with inhaled nitric oxide delivery, bronchoscopy, intubation, and transportation of patients requiring mechanical ventilation within the hospital.
• Collaborate effectively with team members across disciplines to ensure optimal patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have adult respiratory therapy experience in an acute care setting.
• Preferred candidates will have experience in adult critical care/ICU or emergency departments.

Scrub color: Olive green tops and black pants.
