Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

This position offers a night shift, working 4x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Registered Nurse for a Labor and Delivery unit. The ideal candidate will have experience in maternity care, including labor and preterm labor management, and proficiency in various procedures related to obstetrics and gynecology.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring patients and newborns.
• Administer medications and assist in high-risk deliveries.
• Circulate in OB-GYN procedures and provide pre-operative and post-operative care.
• Manage the administration of blood products and IV medications.
• Utilize electronic health record systems for documenting patient care.
• Attend all deliveries and support couplet care and low-risk antepartum patients.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery nursing.
• Active compact RN license.
• Certifications required: BLS, FHM, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate, ACLS (preferred).
• Experience with Epic electronic health records system is essential.
• Travel experience is required.
