Registered Nurse - Acute Behavioral Health

Schedule

This position requires working 12-hour shifts from 06:45 to 19:15, with guaranteed weekly hours of 36. Weekend shifts will be every other weekend.

Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse for our Acute Behavioral Health unit. The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients in a fast-paced environment, ensuring both safety and comfort. Candidates will utilize strong de-escalation skills and effective communication to manage patient care and coordinate with healthcare teams.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient-centered care in an acute behavioral health setting.
• Utilize de-escalation techniques to manage patient behaviors effectively.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to implement patient care plans.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust care strategies as necessary.
• Document patient interactions and care provided in the electronic health record (EHR).

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must hold an ADN or higher in nursing.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• Must possess current CPI, NVCI, or HWC certifications.
• A minimum of 1 year of nursing experience is required.
• Current registered nurse (RN) license in the state of residence.
