Nights, 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM, weekends required.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. The ER RN will be responsible for triaging and assessing patients of all ages and managing a diverse caseload. The department works as a cohesive team, directing patients to beds whenever possible.

Responsibilities

• Handle all patients from ESI level 1-5.
• Manage a patient ratio of 4-5:1, with ESI level 3 average patients.
• Care for patients with stroke, STEMI, trauma, and sepsis.
• Quickly triage and assess patients.
• Perform clinical skills such as PIV, NG/OG tube placements, foley placements, and wound care.
• Assure completion of EMTALA paperwork as per regulatory guidelines.
• Float to other departments as necessary, collaborating with agency and permanent staff.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department RN experience.
• At least 1 year of travel nursing experience required.
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications are mandatory.
• Willingness to assist in precepting other RNs as needed.
