Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Registered Nurse to provide specialized care to pediatric patients, including those with epilepsy monitoring and complex medical needs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pediatric nursing and be committed to delivering high-quality care in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to critically ill infants, children, and adolescents.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Administer medications and monitor patients for response and side effects.
• Conduct assessments and administer treatments while utilizing advanced equipment.
• Educate patients and families on health care procedures and best practices.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• A minimum of 18 months of permanent experience in pediatric nursing.
• Active Permanent Ohio nursing license or compact license is required at the time of submission.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications are required.
• Experience with EKGs, inotropes, and familiarity with NIHHS preferred.
• Traveler must be willing to work at least every other holiday.
