Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Registered Nurse to provide specialized care for pediatric patients up to 25 years old. The ideal candidate must have extensive experience in managing complex cases, including epilepsy monitoring and specialized care for all age groups.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Communicate effectively with families and healthcare team members regarding patient status and care plans.
• Utilize specialized equipment and technology in patient monitoring and care.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and collaborate on patient care strategies.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 18 months of permanent experience in Pediatric nursing prior to travel assignments.
• Active Permanent Ohio license or Compact License in hand at the time of submission.
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
• Experience in EKG monitoring and administration of inotropes.
• NIHSS certification preferred.
• Reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty applying for is required.
