Job Description

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The role involves providing direct patient care within the scope of practice and directing patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in the ICU. The Registered Nurse communicates with physicians regarding changes in the patient’s clinical condition, including hemodynamic monitoring and abnormal results, and must respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment while ensuring patient privacy and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe and effective patient care using the nursing process.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Communicate effectively with the healthcare team regarding changes in patient conditions.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
• Provide education to patients and families regarding health management.
• Direct and guide the activities of nursing personnel as necessary.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current and valid state RN License.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Minimum of one year as a staff RN in acute care hospital, critical care.
• CCRN Certification preferred.
• COVID vaccination/boosters preferred.
• MEPIC EMR experience required.
