Registered Nurse - Obstetrics

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Obstetrics will collaborate with physicians to create a comprehensive plan of care aimed at returning patients to optimal health. This role entails providing bedside nursing care, executing medical orders, and overseeing the functions performed by Nurse Assistants, Patient Care Associates, OB Care Associates, Surgical Service Assistants, Nursing Clerks, and Psychiatric Technicians. Additionally, the RN will evaluate the effectiveness of care plans.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop patient care plans.
• Provide bedside nursing care and administer prescribed medical orders.
• Delegate tasks and supervise the activities of nursing support staff.
• Evaluate patient responses to care and modify care plans as necessary.

Schedule

This is a night shift position from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with a guaranteed 36 hours per week.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Obstetrics - REQUIRED
• AWHONN certification must be obtained within the last two years - REQUIRED
• Current Michigan State Nursing License
• Certifications: AWHONN, NRP, BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA)
