Shift: Mid 5x8-Hour (15:00 - 23:30)

Job Description

The Sterile Processing Technician will be responsible for the cleaning, sterilization, and proper handling of surgical instruments and equipment. The role requires adherence to strict health and safety protocols as well as collaboration with the healthcare team to ensure high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and package medical instruments and trays for sterilization.
• Perform biological and chemical indicator testing.
• Ensure proper cleaning and operation of sterilization equipment.
• Maintain accurate documentation for sterilization cycles.
• Implement high-level disinfection (HLD) and immediate-use steam sterilization (IUSS) procedures.
• Keep work areas organized and maintain compliance with infection control policies.

Required Experience / Certifications

• Two years of experience in an acute hospital setting.
• Certifications required: CBSPD or IAHCSMM.
