Sterile Processing Technician - Night 5x8-Hour Shift

This position offers a night shift schedule of 5 consecutive 8-hour shifts from 23:00 to 07:30.

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Sterile Processing Technician for an acute hospital setting. The ideal candidate will ensure the proper sterilization and management of medical instruments and equipment, adhering to established safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning, sterilization, and preparation of surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies.
• Utilize proper techniques in steam sterilization and high-level disinfection.
• Document sterilization processes and maintain accurate records.
• Assemble and wrap instrument sets according to established protocols.
• Conduct biological and chemical indicator testing for sterilization verification.
• Utilize sterile processing equipment such as washers and sterilizers.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an acute hospital setting.
• Current certification in Sterile Processing (CBSPD or IAHCSMM) is required.
• Experience with equipment documentation and cleaning protocols is essential.
• Compact license holders are accepted; local candidates within a 50-mile radius are not eligible.
