Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse (IR RN)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse (IR RN) to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, state-of-the-art environment providing specialized patient care to adult inpatient and outpatients undergoing interventional radiology procedures, including biopsies, embolizations, ablations, angiography, drain placements, and other image-guided procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and monitor patients before, during, and after interventional radiology procedures.
• Provide post-procedure care in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) and extended stay areas.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.
• Contribute to the essential embolization response team for trauma patients.
• Utilize critical thinking and strong communication skills in a team-oriented environment.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• NYS RN License
• BLS (AHA) Certification
• ACLS (AHA) Certification
• Telemetry experience required
• Minimum of 1 year of recent interventional radiology experience

Schedule

This position requires a commitment to a 4x10 hour shift schedule, which may include weekends, holidays, and on-call duties as needed.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
