Registered Nurse (RN) - Med-Surg Acute Care/Observation Unit - Night Shift

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

12-hour night shift, including weekend rotation. Must agree to be in the call rotation and take 1 call shift per 2-week period.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) Acute Care/Med-Surg Adult is responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients. The nurse will utilize their specialized knowledge and expertise related to critical disease states to plan, coordinate, implement, and evaluate patient care, employing the nursing process effectively.

Responsibilities

• Deliver quality nursing care to patients in the Med-Surg Acute Care/Observation Unit.
• Plan and coordinate patient care based on individual needs.
• Implement interventions and evaluate outcomes utilizing the nursing process.
• Provide Intermediate Care in CCU as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of Acute Care, Med-Surg, or Telemetry RN experience required.
• Current RN License to practice in Colorado.
• Current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• Current ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• Flu vaccination is mandatory during the flu season (October 1st - April 1st).
