Critical Care Registered Nurse

Schedule

This is a 13-week contract position. The shift schedule is from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, working 12-hour days. Availability for weekend and holiday shifts is required.

Job Description

The Critical Care Registered Nurse is responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a critical care environment. Nurses in this role will be expected to float to the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) as needed and should be equipped to handle a range of critical care scenarios.

Responsibilities

• Deliver critical care to patients, ensuring all needs are met.
• Monitor patients' hemodynamic status and utilize advanced monitoring systems.
• Communicate effectively with the healthcare team and patient families.
• Float to the PCU as required and adjust care based on changing environments.
• Administer medications and therapies as prescribed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2 years of current critical care experience is required.
• Active Massachusetts RN license must be uploaded with profile.
• American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification is required.
• Experience with Vent, ICP Monitoring, and Hemodynamic Monitoring is required.
• Meditech Expanse experience is strongly preferred.
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification is preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
• Traveler candidates must have their own vehicle.
